Lowbrow Getdown 2013

back to work after a hell of a weekend, the Getdown was better than ever finally got in the water and did some cliff jumping off the ledges, live bands, good friends i dont hardly see enough and last but not least the COCTAGON, thats right it was at the Slab, than EDR and Biltwells Mcgoo brought it to Ohio

after a high speed trip there and a night of swimming, partying and little sleep (ABBA) the ride back was less highway banging and more scenic twisties through PA and along the Allegany river. i sun burned and sore but im already looking forward to next year

heres a couple shots i put up on instagram before my phone died

Last of the Sportster collection at born free

ahhh the last of the sportster pics, saving some of the best for last- personally knowing some of these guys and having them standing right there while i took pics of thier bikes felt dumb but fuck it they're sweet bikes that i wanted to share here!

Bill's sporty build

Mike D's Sex Panther

Kyle from Lowbrow's Dirster mother trucker rode this thing from Ohio to California (rumor has it this bike has gone under some serious changes recently and will be riding to NYC with us in Sept.)

Jesse from The Gasbox- man in a see of loud paint and out there bars and pipes this understated beauty really shines

i LOVE the profile of this bike

Biltwell Banana Review Part 2

We have more photos of the Sportster Banana Seat from Biltwell.  The seat tucks in nicely on the center line of the frame rails and follows the contours of the frame and rear fender like a glove.  In the looks department and for fit and finish I will give it 2 thumbs up.

The ride is tight and you feel in control of the bike and road a few more of the bikes vibrations come through your butt compared to a thicker seat.  However this is not a bad thing as you will feel "one" with the machine!

New seat- Biltwell Banana

ordered up the ribbed version for my pleasure (as its a solo seat) slid her in on the front tab marked the center of the hole with a sharpie, quick smack with a pin punch, followed by a 1/8" drill bit (word of wise jack up the bike and drop the swing arm- for one your gonna have to anyways to get your hand up there to hold the bolt, and B) you wont have to worry about ramming that drill bit into the top of the tire) back to the task at hand grabbed the uni-bit and reemed her out, bolt/washer/nut, bolt up the shocks and in a half hour you got this!! havent been able to put any real mile son it full review coming soon........

got a little bit of paint to scribble on the sides and a new top secret tank im working on, the handlebars should be done in the next few days! would still love to make up that exhaust i want, but riding season is just about here so it may be put on the back burner

CLEVELAND OHIO

A couple things come to mind when i think cleveland besides being athletically cursed never to win a championship in ANY sport, such as.......
a river so dirty it actually caught on fire

the rock & roll hall of fame

the disgusting act of a "cleveland steemer"

machine gun kelly who i give full credit/blame for getting me listening to rap music again

HOWEVER.........
this weekend its all about.............EDR!!!

Product Feature FRIDAY

so i think i have a pretty good idea for a consistent daily "thing" amongst the random shit i feel like sharing, so lets start it off with product feature friday!!!

Biltwell "Sandersons" http://www.biltwellinc.com/pegs.php

i was lucky enough to recieve a set of these from Bill (www.biltwell.com) and Walter (http://kickstartcycle.com/) although i had a set of bmx pedals i had made work and was pretty proud of on the ol girl, these polished, investmentcast stainless beauties were just to sweet to not use! super simple swap- 15mins and i was back on the road

so yeah they have throw back looks, quality heavy duty cast stainless and feature a trick set to any angle universal mount........ but the real thing that surprised me was how much they actually changed the ride, maybe its due to the fact i had pedals before but i love what they did to the feel and i was standing on and bracing myself all over NYC the weekend of the brooklyn invitational without a sign of loosening up or worry, only problem is now i just gotta get a set for the back!
