deadlines.............SUCK

really hoping to have the creep machine back together so i can ride it to what used to be called skin and steel, it was hands down the worst show ive ever been to last year but it was a bike related thing to use as a deadline to ride to, as of right now the list is long and im feeling doubtful that ill make it. but im unwilling to compromise- late nights in the shed are proving to pay off with good things happening with the tank

last night the magic happened with the help of my little skil hand orbital sander, no pics but i should have some primer ones tomorrow, and than hopefully have her dressed in black within the week!

Creep Machine version 3.0

Damn its been a long time, probably forgot we thought about this huh? nah hit that spot in the winter were nothing happens, you feel uninspired and find yourself going to/leaving from work in the dark anyways........

picked up a fresh oil tank (#3) and a headlight lense in Syracuse, vending for http://www.gigacyclegarage.com/ went well

i scored a mint set of shocks locally for the bike

my buddy practically gave me this thing, this is the one part that if time becomes an issue will be back burnerd till i can afford the time to have the bike down
and the real success story came last night in the form of sparks and heat

i also did a front end lower job at home total invested cost was less than 5 bucks- How-To coming soon!!

commited to it now

so ive had this idea for awhile, and knowing that the tubes were cracked only helped convince me i had nothing to lose so last night i took my precision angle grinder armed with a cut-off wheel and lopped the ends of the frame off.......... now i gotta figure out how to get a hoop made and attach it

Creep Machine tear down

this wasn't my first time stripping my baby down so i figured id attempt to document and time myself. i started the clock at 5:00, the plan was to take pictures every 15 minutes (which turned into every 30- shitty), figured it be the next best thing to a video camera set up.

backing up a little here's how she sat after this seasons adventures, damn if this bike isnt fun! in fact riding it down to the shop i almost turned around thinking why bother this bikes cool enough, but hell you gotta dress it different every year- besides what am i gonna do all winter?? and in the end this bike deserves a better level of "finished" so here goes!

okay so here we go 5:00

5:30

6:00

6:30

7:05

so maybe not the most comprehensive tear down photos, ill try my best to give it a better shot on the rebuild, the plan is a few custom fabbed pieces, paint, and a higher level of finish work......

the Creep Machine is getting dressed up!

well this was gonna be (and maybe still is) the winter of the ironhead, after sitting dormant for multiple years now the old girl deserves her time to shine, but i have that one all mapped out in my head and a basic idea of how i want it to look, so thats left my mind to wander in the way of the 93 creep machine, the white frame, bare metal tank and bars, was fun for a year but now its time to give it the attention to detail and finish work it deserves, so a few changes here and there (including tear it back down and repainting the frame) and a bottle of lock-tite, i think itll put a whole new spin on essentially the same bike

Syndicate Choppers- and my new handlebars

Well it was a grey rainy day when i decided id try and finish the handlebars i had been dreaming up for the latest version of the creep machine- 45mins later i had managed to misalign and fuck up just about every angle possible on the top tubes........... FUCK!

after i got done throwing a fit i remembered seeing an ad for handlebars made to order specs on the chop cult classifieds that looked just like what i had in mind! quick email later and a phone # exchange i was texting back and forth with Carmine going over every little detail, in the days to follow i recieved updates and pics through my phone at each step insuring i liked what i was seeing, and in a few days i had my new bars in hand

some of the pics i got along the way

and some pics first mounted up

risers aren't working with em.....more on that later

moral of the story if you need something made up to your specs with quality and craftsmanship in mind i wouldnt hesitate to give Syndicate Choppers a call (in fact we may be doing up some pipes in the future for the creep machine) his contact/blog is http://www.syndicatechops.blogspot.com/

heres some close up of his welds
