From what I understand there are no NEW standard Models introduced at the 2013 model change over. The Sportster line lost the 1200 Nightster and the bad boy XR1200R sport bike. I am not surprised that the XR did not sell well to the traditional Motor Company customers. But the only thing I can think of with the Nightster is that it competes with the Sportster 48 and the 72 for production capacity and showroom floor space and lost out.
The big news is 110 Anniversary models and Metal Flake paint. I guess all the other commemorative bikes have a new brother and another reason to tack on a few grand to the bottom line for exclusive badging and color options. The custom guys will have to come up with 90's Pastels or something other than the flake to stand out as everyone can have Metal Flake now with 60 monthly payments.
The Dyna line remains unchanged with the Street Bob getting a minor make over with a side mounted plate and special aircleaner. I guess the garage builders are influencing the MoCo and bringing what people want to the masses.
The one new addition that is in the lineup is the CVO Breakout. This is a good looking bike and has some unique parts that I am sure will make it on to the standard models in a couple of years.
